We are requesting a $30 course material fee in order to pay TalkAbroad for a series of three conversations with native Italian speakers. The fees are listed on their website https://talkabroad.com/

Statement of Rationale and Justification for the proposed Course Fee:

It costs $30 for 3 15-minute conversations with a native Italian speaker online. The conversation is recorded, and the three conversations can both foreground student progress over the course of ITA 2020 and serve as an assessment tool. ITA 2020 is the fourth semester of Italian and we believe engaging with native speakers will give our students confidence and make them aware on how to communicate effectively orally with a native speaker.
