English as a Second Language PK-12 Teaching Endorsement Minor
The minor in English as a Second Language (ESL) PK-12 Teaching Endorsement leads to an endorsement on an existing Michigan teaching certificate. In order to be eligible for admission to the program, students must have or be currently pursuing an existing Michigan teaching certificate. A passing score on the appropriate Michigan Test for Teacher Certification subject area examination is required to add the endorsement to a Michigan Teaching Certificate.
The English as a Second Language PK-12 Teaching Endorsement requires 24 credits to complete all components. All coursework must be completed in accordance with the academic procedures of the College of Education and the University governing undergraduate scholarship and degrees. All major, minor, and education courses must be completed with grades of ‘C’ or better and an overall 2.5 grade point average to meet College graduation requirements.
