Textile Design Minor

This minor offers students the opportunity to learn textile design skills and apply these in a studio/industry setting. The minor provides course options in both print and woven textile design. The minor combines elements of the fibers and fashion programs.

Students must complete 24 credits as specified below:

Surface Studio
Graphic Design3
Introduction to Graphic Design: Skills and Concepts
Textile Design6
Fibers: Digital Textile Design
Fibers: Print and Dye
Design History (select one of the following):3
History of Costume
History of Modern Design I
History of Modern Design II
Textile Design Studio Electives6
In discussion with your art advisor, select two studio electives from fibers.
Fibers: Material Fundamentals
Fibers: Weaving
Fibers: Studio I
Fibers: Studio II
Directed Projects: Fibers
Total Credits24

All courses in the minor must be completed with the grade of C- or higher.
