Health Care Ethics Minor

This option is primarily intended for students interested in ethics and moral issues related to medicine, health care, and science, or for students intending to pursue a career in a health care field. A candidate pursuing this minor must complete a minimum of five courses selected from the philosophy course listings, including:

1. One course in critical thinking or symbolic logic:
Critical Thinking
Reasoning and Decision
Introductory Symbolic Logic
Honors Introductory Symbolic Logic
Advanced Symbolic Logic
2. The following three courses:
Ethical Issues in Health Care
Introduction to Ethics
One additional course from the Theory of Value course group (or PHI 1200: Life and Death)
3. At least one Philosophy course at the 5000-level (other than 5993) *
