CMT 7010 Applications of AI in Construction Management Cr. 3

This course focuses on practical applications of artificial intelligence (AI) using available software programs in construction project management, emphasizing real-world workflows and use cases. Students will learn how AI tools are applied to plan, manage, monitor, and optimize construction practices through experiential, hands-on activities using commercially available software and industry-relevant software packages (e.g., Autodesk BIM360, Revit). CMT 7080 Applications of Machine Learning & Data Analytics in Construction Management Cr. 3

This course prepares students to apply machine learning (ML) and data-driven software techniques to construction management workflows through hands-on exercises, real-world construction datasets, and industry-standard software. Students will learn how to clean, structure, analyze, and model field-generated data and industry-relevant software packages (e.g., Autodesk BIM360, Revit, Procore Analytics). The course includes hands-on exercises and discipline-specific implementations, with each week students build a functional component of a predictive or diagnostic model used in construction project planning, cost forecasting, productivity monitoring, safety analytics, or equipment maintenance. Students will implement models, test results against actual performance outcomes, visualize insights, and evaluate deployment feasibility using field-ready tools. Offered Winter.
